Don came to Award Concepts 17 years ago with a strong foundation of management experience from 21 years in the construction industry. A hands-on manager, Don learned the awards and recognition business from the bottom up. Today, Don can confidently say to each customer and client that we will perform and deliver what we promise…and then some.
Don graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 1977. He worked for the Weyerhaeuser Company and Edward Hines Lumber Company before bringing his management expertise to Award Concepts. He bicycles to work from April through October and participates in an annual bicycle ride across Iowa, RAGBRAI. He has been involved in prison ministry (Kairos Prison Ministry International) to incarcerated youth and adults for over 15 years. He and his wife Barb have three children and two grandsons.
